  • De-activate plugins and that will likely solve the problem (Jetpack).

    Each image, text and logo widgets allow you to enter image ALT tags in the widget. Simply open the properties of such a widget, and configure it there. For some widgets, it's not possible to configure the alt-tag, simply because the images are rendered as backgrounds.

    Some images can have meta tags embedded in them. You could try to flip the image outside of Wordpress, put it in the right orientation, and then re-upload it, and use that one.
