in the previous blogpost I already informed you that our theme started to support integration with the SEO plugin of Yoast. Back then we still had a wish list of wannahave features that have now been implemented. From what I can say, we now have a Yoast SEO plugin on steroids. This is because our theme adds advanced features not seen in any other theme. In this article I will briefly touch the advanced features that our theme offers in relation to the SEO plugin that Yoast has made.
Front end Yoast SEO assistant
Since our themes allow site owners to edit the content of the posts in the front-end we thought it would be best if the SEO analysis would be move to the front-end too, and that's what we did. If you open a post in the the front-end, the fly out menu now contains a SEO tab with both input and output information that is delivered to you by the Yoast SEO plugin. Setting the 'focus keyword'. 'title' and 'description' now is easier than ever before. After you hit the 'update' button, the SEO analysis automatically updates through an AJAX call without annoying screen refreshes.
SEO analysis as you type
In WordPress you normally work in the back-end. So after each modification, you press the Update button and the page is refreshed. But we do things differently. We allow you to work on your article on the front-end side. This way you know exactly how your post will look like. But at the same time we give you insight in the SEO power of your work. As you fill and tune the contents of your widgets, the system automatically polls the Yoast SEO plugin. The feedback from the plugin is shown on your screen, as you type! You can truly use the list of suggestions from the Yoast list to see what needs to be done to fully optimize your page, and attract the most visitors.
